WEEKLY LIFE-DRAWING SESSIONS – organised by David Perry (from April 2026)
Sessions take place every Sunday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to set up so you can start drawing on time.
COST – cash or card accepted on the night.
Standard – £12 per person
Students – £6 per person (maximum discount for three students per week). Please contact David on PenrynLifeDrawingSociety or on the links below in advance; student discounts are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
DROP IN
No booking required – just turn up. If possible, please let the organiser know you’re coming so they can plan tables and cahirs. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are included.
UNTUTORED
Please bring your own drawing materials. Desks and chairs are provided. This is an untutored session, so no teaching or guidance will be offered.
SKILL LEVEL
All abilities welcome from “never drawn anyone before” to experienced artists.
MODEL
One unclothed model (female, male, or non-binary) will pose at each session in a variety of poses and for varying durations. Please note: we are not recruiting new models at this time, as we already have a full roster.

CAR PARKING
Free parking for six cars is available directly outside (please ask for a parking permit on arrival to display in your window – spaces marked H5 to H10). Additional parking can be found on nearby roads – please large map below with green arrows.

HISTORY
2019/09/15 – First Life Drawing Session created by Colin Stevens with Olive Maher helping out and also modelling but shortly afterwards took over the running the group. Sessions have always been every Sunday at St Gliuvias Hall and at the same time.
2020/12/15 – Name announced that the group will be called “Penryn Life Drawing Group”
2022/02/11 – Name changed from “Penryn Life Drawing Group” to “Penryn Life Drawing Society”
2022/06/12 – Andy Hubball start to help run the sessions over the summer which then led to Olive and Andy both running the group together on alternate weeks.

This Sunday’s life drawing session will be with model David @lifemodeldp and is a slight change from the August`s monthly plan advertised. There maybe some additional cakes too 😋.

A huge thank you to everyone last night (all 17 of you) which made for a fantastic and busy evening, drawing life model Arwen at 8 months pregnant. So so many lovely sketches, and i captured as many as I could and passed them all onto Arwen 😍
So thank you Arwen @lifemodel.ac for modelling again through your pregnancy journey, and all being well, we shall see you again on Sept 20th at full term.
