A fun and creative session this afternoon with the Falmouth Uni MA Visual Communication students on a very hot day, even with not wearing any clothes it was still pretty warm but that didn’t stop any of us 😎 - 10/07/2026
These sketches were all quick poses from 30 seconds to 5 minutes and were intentionally different, like use non dominant hand or blind contour drawing which makes the final results very interesting indeed 😁.

I have just started to dedicate a couple of hours per week of life drawing time to practice my limited basic drawing skills, and i always enjoy seeing how others include marks and reference points to help them measure and get the human form proportions as accurately as possible in the short amount of time they usually have.
This is a great example by one student at Truro College (Tregye) from last October with this 20min pose.

I really enjoyed watching the process of Day 1 on this intensive portrait course organised by @justlife.art at Zennor, Cornwall and tutored by the very talented @jameshagueartist 😍
Artists took various photos throughout the day of models Gillian and myself which will be the building blocks for the rest of the course without us. Will be very interesting to see the results of their work at the end 😎
